Veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee is responding well to treatment and his health condition is improving said sources.
The 85-year-old actor had tested positive for COVID-19 on October 5 and was admitted to a nursing home in central Kolkata.
His condition was critical for a while and doctors kept a round the clock check on his various health parameters. His health condition has improved, doctors said.

On Friday, he tested negative for COVID-19. He has spoken a few words, said doctors, opened his eyes and responded to verbal commands. Various parameters of health, including the oxygen level, has improved. He did not have fever for nearly two days and did not show any new complications either.
