Temperature dropped on the first day of February 2021, in Kolkata and the rest of West Bengal, with Darjeeling witnessing 2°C.
Temperature in Kolkata dropped to 11.4°C which is 5°C below normal, from 12.1°C on Sunday. The temperature will continue to be similar till at least Wednesday, the weather office indicated. Temperature has been rather erratic this winter, with highs and lows continuing unpredictably all along.
Monday has been cold but sunny, but early morning fog was noticed throughout the state. Temperature in Siliguri was between 5-6°C. Malda witnessed 8°C and Jalpaiguri was 6°C.
