His two brothers and father have already joined the BJP.

Trinamool Congress MP from Tamluk, Dibyendu Adhikari, is expected to be in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in East Midnapore’s Contain on Wednesday. His brother Suvendu Adhikari was the first in the Adhikari family to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Last week, their father Sisir Adhikari, a long time leader of the Trinamool Congress, too joined the BJP.

Dibyendu Adhikari himself had said earlier that he received an invitation to attend the PM’s rally in Contai and even confirmed that he would be present there. But, he has not confirmed whether or not he would formally join the party.

With his other two brothers, Suvendu and Soumendu, already BJP members there are talks that Dibyendu too might join the saffron party and campaign for his brother Suvendu who is contesting from Nandigram against the West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee.
