Trinamool candidate Sujata Khan attacked in Arambagh during polls allegedly by BJP workers

Third phase of election in Bengal is under way.

There was chaos in Hooghly’s Arambagh on Tuesday afternoon as clashes ensued between Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party workers during the third phase of elections in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress candidate Sujata Khan alleged she was attacked with bamboo and pieces of bricks when she went to visit a booth on learning that BJP workers were not allowing her party’s polling agent inside.

Khan alleged that she was hit with bricks and videos show that she was being whisked away by her party men into a field. While Khan alleged that BJP workers were behind the attack, the BJP on the other hand said that Sujata Khan had visited the area to create trouble where voting was going on peacefully, and that’s why she was chased out.
