Trinamool Congress councillor shot at in Bengal’s South 24 Parganas, crude bomb used

Mithun Tikadar, a Trinamool Congress councillor was attacked on Monday with a crude bomb in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. He was also shot at by unidentified assailants.

Tikadar is councillor from ward no 22 of the municipality of Budge Budge. He was rushed to a hospital after the incident.

This attack comes close on the heels of another strike against the Trinamool Congress where a legislative member of the party from Krishnaganj – Satyajit Biswas was shot dead by miscreants in the Nadia district of West Bengal.

He was shot dead by unidentified shooters on February 9 – the day of Saraswati Puja.
