Trinamool Congress hold agitation outside CBI office demanding arrest of BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari
Adhikari's name was mentioned in a letter purportedly written by Saradha chief Sudipto Sen.
Trinamool Congress on Monday held agitations in Salt Lake outside the CGO complex – demanding arrest of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari in the Saradha chit fund scam probe. The CGO complex in Salt Lake houses the Kolkata office of Central probe agency, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Trinamool leaders demanded that the BJP Leader of Opposition be questioned for his alleged involvement in the Saradha chit fund scam. Trinamool Congress has been alleging that Suvendu Adhikari has not been called by the CBI for questioning in this connection though there is mention of his name in a letter purportedly written by Saradha chief Sudipto Sen. Trinamool Congress has been alleging that he got away because he is with the ruling BJP at the Centre.
Trinamool Congress leaders Kunal Ghosh and Babul Supriyo were among those to lead the protests. An eight-member delegation is scheduled to call on Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday seeking action against Adhikari.
