Trinamool Congress worker murdered in Keshpur, party accuses BJP, 7 arrested
Election in Keshpur today.
A Trinamool Congress worker was found murdered in the early hours of Thursday in Keshpur of West Midnapore district that goes to the polls today.
The body of the worker was found outside his home, a stone’s throw from the Trinamool Congress party office. He was found stabbed and bleeding just outside his house. The family accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of the murder, though the party has denied this. Seven persons have been arrested in this connection.
The second phase of election in Bengal started on Thursday. Elections are being held in four districts – in parts of Bankura, East Midnapore, West Midnapore and South 24 Parganas, including Nandigram.
