Tripura: Permission denied for Abhishek Banerjee’s rally, Trinamool leader will visit the state tomorrow
Permission denied thrice by Tripura administration.
Trinamool Congress was denied permission for the party’s general secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s rally tomorrow in Tripura. This is the third time the party was denied permission to hold rallies by the party MP. Tripura Police had turned down permission on September 15 and 16 as well.
The Tripura government has come up with a prohibitory order till November 4, in view of COVID-19. However, it is learnt that Abhishek Banerjee wants to go ahead with his plan to visit Tripura on Wednesday. He will meet people and hold a press conference there.
Trinamool has alleged that the government is afraid of the impact the party has recently created among the people in the Northeastern state, and is thus bringing up such issues to deliberately stop Trinamool from organising meetings and rallies.
