Kolkata Police authorities have found this video which shows that the devastating fire at Bagri Market had originated outside the market, not inside. This footage – which was shot on a mobile phone late on Saturday night – shows that something had caught fire outside the market. The flames then moved up and caught on to something inflammable on the first floor.
The video shows two young men moving out of the scene in a two-wheeler. Whether they had caused the fire and fled the scene or were going to inform someone about the fire is being investigated, sources said. Police authorities are investigating whether it was a sabotage.
