13 dead from electrocution in 3 days in Bengal

The incessant rains for three days in Bengal has led to 13 deaths from electrocution in various parts of the state. This also includes three deaths from Malda, while the other deaths were caused in various parts of south Bengal.

The 13 deaths were reported including three in Malda, two in Agarpara, two in Dum Dum, one in Titagarh, three in Khardah and two in Mahishadal. Most of these areas are in North 24 Parganas.

In Dum Dum, two children died as they had stepped out of the house to go somewhere. Neighbours and family members alleged that the live wires were lying even before the rains.
