2 more Coronavirus cases in Kolkata, had travelled to London & Egypt

Two more persons tested positive for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday night. This makes the total number of positive cases in West Bengal nine. One person died at Salt Lake AMRI on Monday afternoon.

Those who tested positive late on Monday were admitted to Beliaghata Infectious Diseases Hospital in Kolkata and both have travel history. One of them — a woman — had recently returned from London. The other person had returned from Egypt. Their swab samples are currently undergoing a second round of testing after testing positive for the virus on Monday, officials said.

The number of COVID-19 cases increased to 482 in the country of whom 36 have already been cured and discharged. The total number of deaths increased to nine in the country, including one from Kolkata.
