A fourth person from Kolkata tested positive for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Saturday. A 57-year-old man from Dum Dum, has tested positive.
He had fever since March 13, and had been admitted to Salt Lake AMRI Hospital. His reports from NICED and SSKM Hospital have now tested positive. He has been put on ECHMO support now. The patient had neither travelled abroad nor had come in contact with anyone who had travelled abroad, some TV channels have reported. However, this could not be confirmed independently.
The number of Active COVID-19 cases across the country according to the Ministry of Health website is 256, and four persons have died. Twenty-two persons have been cured and discharged already.
