Trinamool Congress’ twin rallies in Kolkata to protest cooking gas price rise

The Trinamool Congress on Tuesday took out two rallies in Kolkata to protest the price hike of cooking gas.

One of these rallies started from south Kolkata’s Gol Park and is scheduled to reach Hazra crossing. The other is scheduled to move from Moulali to Rani Rashmoni Avenue in the central part of the city.

Since its poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections, the Trinamool Congress has taken several decisions to take its activities to the people, and that includes public meetings, rallies and talking about the people’s issues.

With the hike in cooking gas price, the Trinamool Congress leadership decided to take the issue to the people through rallies and meetings.

However, on a busy weekday afternoon, traffic movement is expected to be thrown out of gear due to the twin rallies.
