Counting for the Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana started, with the Bharatiya Janata Party leading in 103 seats, followed by Shiv Sena in 64, Congress in 40 and Nationalist Congress Party in 48.
While BJP was leading in Haryana too as the very early trends had indicated, as the counting progressed, Congress was found leading in 31 seats and is breathing down BJP’s neck, which is leading in 38 seats.
