CBI reaches Bolpur house of Anubrata Mondal, daughter questioned?

Properties belonging to the Trinamool leader and his daughter are being probed.

Officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday reached the house of Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal in Birbhum’s Bolpur. A four-member team reached the house and his daughter Sukanya, may have been questioned, it was reported. The CBI team was in the house for ten minutes approximately and left after that.

Some reports said that Sukanya Mondal is expected to be questioned regarding properties owned by her and her father, who is the Trinamool Congress’ chief in Birbhum district. Mondal was arrested by the Central probe agency last week, and is now in CBI custody. He was arrested for not cooperating in the probe on cattle smuggling, and had skipped summons nine out of ten times.

Reports referred to various properties owned by Anubrata Mondal and his daughter for which sources of their income are being verified. The CBI has reportedly obtained property documents belonging to the Birbhum Trinamool Congress chief and his daughter.
