Coronavirus: transport workers geared up to work during lockdown

The West Bengal transport department authorities have given masks, gloves, eye-wear and clothes to drivers and conductors of state buses which they are using while driving state buses during the time of emergency lockdown all over the state.

Buses, taxis, autorichshaws, metro railway, trains have been shut down, but some basic transport network within the state is still on in order to handle emergency situations. The drivers and conductors of these buses have been provided with the clothes and other safety wear, apart from being told to wash their hands regularly and not to touch their faces. The buses are also being thoroughly cleaned, said state transport minister Subhendu Adhikary.
