There were 611 new cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) reported in West Bengal on Wednesday, July 1, that resulted in over 3,500 cases in the state within a span of six days.
The last six days has seen the highest increase of cases with 3,522 new cases reported in the state in just six days from June 26 to July 1. In the last three days, there have been over 600 cases per day. The state however, has managed to keep the discharge rate at a somewhat steady 65 per cent and above, with high number of patients getting cured and discharged. The number of COVID-19 tests too has remained steady, with over 9,500 tests being conducted every day.
