Mohon Halder works as a delivery boy in the e-commerce company from which Murmu bought a phone in the third week of October. According to police, Halder confessed to police that he had replaced the phone with stones before delivering it to Murmu. The phone which the BJP MP had originally bought has been recovered from him.
Murmu, an MP from Malda Uttar, had ordered a cell phone from an e-commerce portal. On opening the package he saw that he had received the set of a different brand than the one he had ordered. He was more shocked when on opening the box, he found two stones in place of the phone. Later he lodged a complaint with the English Bazar police.
