“Didi’r Gorber Dosh”: Trinamool Congress manifesto to be released today

The earlier release date was postponed due to Mamata Banerjee's injury in Nandigram.

The Trinamool Congress’ election manifesto is set to be release on Wednesday after the party chief returns to Kolkata, later in the day. The manifesto is titled “Didi’r Gorber Dosh”, which mentions the ten years’ of the party’s achievements as the ruling party of Bengal, and plans for the future.

The West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee will be addressing two public rallies in Jangalmahal area, Gopiballabpur and Lalgarh in Jhargram in the afternoon. Her schedule mentions she is also supposed to consult doctors on her foot condition before she visits Kalighat temple.

The Trinamool Congress was initially supposed to launch the party’s election manifesto on March 11, but her leg was injured in Nandigram on March 10, forcing her to postpone the launch.

Banerjee released the full list of Trinamool Congress candidates for the Assembly polls on March 5. Elections are scheduled in eight phases in West Bengal – from March 27 to April 29. Results will be out on May 2.
