The Bengal Story Bureau: Yash Raj Films has released the much-awaited Alpha movie trailer, introducing actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in high-octane action roles. The promotional video for the latest Spy Universe instalment quickly caught public attention, specifically for a brief final shot featuring a familiar pair of emerald green eyes.
The two-minute trailer sets up a fierce ideological and physical battle. It establishes Bhatt’s character, named Sita, who was abducted as a child and raised to be a ruthless assassin by an antagonist named Fateh, played by Bobby Deol. However, the closing moments of the video generated the most intense discussion among the franchise’s core audience. A cryptic scene at a monastery features a child telling the lead characters that a mysterious figure is waiting to save them, followed by a close-up of those distinctive green eyes.
The Major Kabir Connection
Fans immediately recognised the eyes as belonging to actor Hrithik Roshan, who plays superspy Major Kabir Dhaliwal in the YRF franchise. Social media platforms saw a rapid surge in reactions, with viewers predicting that Kabir will make a crucial cameo to assist the new agents during a critical mission.

The potential inclusion of Kabir links the new film directly to the events of War and its upcoming sequel. Industry observers noted that the production house routinely features high-profile cross-overs to build its interconnected narrative, as seen previously with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan making extended appearances in each other’s spy thrillers.
High-Octane Action
Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film marks Bhatt’s first full-fledged action project. The narrative reportedly flips a traditional mythological trope. A voiceover in the trailer explains that unlike the original epic, this Sita refuses to wait for a rescue and instead chooses to burn down her captor’s empire herself.
Sharvari makes a strong entry midway through the trailer, initially engaging in hand-to-hand combat with Bhatt before the two operatives join forces. Veteran actor Anil Kapoor also features prominently as a senior intelligence official guiding the young agents.

Production banner Yash Raj Films has confirmed that the movie will hit cinema screens worldwide on July 3, 2026. If the audience speculation regarding Roshan holds true, the project will serve as a major connecting bridge for the expanding cinematic universe.
