The Bengal Story Bureau: Mira Kapoor, wife of Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, recently opened up about her husband’s lifestyle and personal preferences, revealing that the actor remains completely detached from celebrity gossip and industry politics. Speaking during an interview, Mira disclosed that despite working in Bollywood for over two decades, Shahid prefers to keep his personal life and family discussions entirely separated from the film industry’s social circles.
The couple, who married in 2015, have frequently drawn public attention for balancing a high-profile Bollywood career with a grounded family life in Mumbai. Mira noted that Shahid’s disinterest in industry rumors has been a defining characteristic of their home environment.
“Not Interested in Who is Doing What”
During the conversation, Mira was asked whether she and Shahid discuss the latest industry buzz or celebrity updates at home. She clarified that such topics never enter their household conversations because the actor finds them irrelevant.

“Shahid has zero interest in celebrity gossip,” Mira said. “He does not care about who is doing what, who is dating whom, or what is happening in someone else’s life. When he is home, his entire focus is on his family, his fitness, and his work.”
She added that Shahid prefers to utilise his free time productively rather than engaging in casual industry chatter. According to Mira, this quality has helped them maintain a peaceful and stable household away from the constant scrutiny and speculation that defines Bollywood.

Mira also highlighted how Shahid manages to switch off from his celebrity persona the moment he returns home from a film set. She explained that the actor is a deeply private individual who values simple family routines over industry parties and networking events.
