West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday morning visited Jadavpur University Vice Chancellor of Jadavpur University Suranjan Das and Pro-VC of JU Pradip Ghosh at a city hospital. Das and Ghosh fell ill when the university students gheraoed union minister of state Babul Supriyo at the university on Thursday.
The Governor inquired about their health and spoke with doctors.
According to a press note from the office of the Governor, he “indicated that as guardian he will engage into all out effort to interact with the students, faculty and the management”.

The VC told the Governor – who is also the Chancellor of the university – that he would organise an interaction with the faculty members.
