The number of containment zones in Kolkata has now reached over one thousand.
According to the latest list issued by the state government, the number of active Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the state is now 4,950 and the total number of cases is 8,985. Of this, the number of cases from Kolkata is 3,018 with 1,205 persons discharged till now. There have been 265 deaths reported from the city so far. Currently, there are 1,548 active cases of COVID-19 in Kolkata.
