Kanhaiya Kumar to skip Left parties’ Brigade rally due to neck spasm

Kanhaiya Kumar to skip Left parties’ Brigade rally due to neck spasm

Youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar will skip the Brigade rally in Kolkata today that is to start in a short while from now. This is due to health reasons, it was reported.

The news has come as a huge disappointment to the Left parties, that was looking to captivate the youth through Kanhaiya Kumar’s speech. Kumar is likely to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Bihar’s Begusarai as a CPI candidate, and was scheduled to be among the last three speakers at the rally.

It has been reported that Kumar was to take an early morning flight to Kolkata for the rally, but a neck spasm has led him to cancel the programme. He was admitted to a hospital in his home town briefly, and has got back home, but is still under doctors’ care and unable to move.
