Mamata Banerjee in Darjeeling: makes momos on her last day in the hills

Banerjee is on a 5-day visit in the hills.

West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday made momos with local women in Darjeeling. She is on a five-day trip to the hills. Thursday is the last day she is in the hill town.

Banerjee went out on a walk in the morning on Thursday along with her security personnel and interacted with the local people. When she spotted some women making momos, she went up to them, and she learnt how to make momos from them.

On Wednesday, Banerjee had said that there would be a Coffee House in Darjeeling like the one in Kolkata’s College Street, and inquired about available land in the area. Banerjee yesterday offered prayers at the Mahakal temple in the hill town. She has been interacting with the local people over the past few days during her visit.
