Mamata Banerjee on 4-day Darjeeling trip for GTA swearing-in

She will also attend the birth anniversary programme of poet Acharya Bhanu Bhakta.

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is travelling to Darjeeling for four days starting Monday for the swearing-in ceremony of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) which will take place tomorrow.

Preparations are on in full swing in Darjeeling, with a stage being set up at Chowrasta in Darjeeling for the swearing-in venue. It will start at 11 am on Tuesday. The sabhasads will be sworn in by Ajit Ranjan Bardhan, commissioner, Jalpaiguri division in presence of Banerjee.

The Bengal CM will also attend the birth anniversary commemorations of poet Acharya Bhanu Bhakta on Wednesday. Banerjee will be back in Kolkata on Thursday.
