Mamata Banerjee stands in queue to get her Swasthya Sathi card

She visited a Duare Sarkar camp on Tuesday.

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday stood in a queue to get her own Swasthya Sathi card, the state government’s health insurance card. She visited ward number 73 office at Jay Hind Bhawan on Harish Mukherjee Road on Tuesday at around 11 am. She stood in the queue along with the others who were already visiting the Duare Sarkar camp to avail various government schemes. Banerjee inquired whether people were facing any difficulty.

Kolkata Municipal Corporation administrator Firhad Hakim and city police commissioner Anuj Sharma accompanied Banerjee to the ward office.

On Monday, Banerjee had herself said she would get her Swasthya Sathi card. She had said that one of her brothers had got her a health insurance of Rs 3 lakh, and she does not have any other health card. She said that she wants to get the state government’s health card.
