Narendra Modi at Brigade rally in Kolkata on April 3
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Kolkata on April 3, and will hold a public meeting at the Brigade Parade Grounds on that day to kickstart the party’s campaign in West Bengal.
After Trinamool Congress and the CPI(M), it is time for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to show its strength in terms of the crowd that attends PM Modi’s meeting in Kolkata. The BJP hopes it will have a huge impact on the electorate if Modi himself initiates the party’s campaign in the state.
Narendra Modi will hold a number of public meetings in Bengal on that day itself. Apart from him, several top BJP leaders – including union ministers – are also expected to be present at the Brigade meeting on April 3.
Other than Modi, the BJP’s national president Amit Shah is also scheduled to hold several public meetings in Bengal over the coming weeks. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will also hold several meetings. The top leaders of BJP had a series of programmes during the rathyatra that eventually had to be cancelled. However, this time, there’s no such uncertainty, BJP leaders said.
