Shami’s mother, sister, sister-in-law questioned by Kolkata police

After interrogating Mohammed Shami and his brother, Kolkata Police on Monday questioned the Indian pacer’s mother, sister and sister-in-law in connection with Shami’s Hasin Jahan’s complaints, which includes rape, attempt to murder and domestic violence.

According to Lalbazar sources, two Kolkata police special teams separately visited Murshidabad and Shami’s native place Amroha in this connection.

Kolkata Police had initiated the probe following Hasin Jahan’s complaints at the Jadavpur police station. She also accused Shami of match-fixing. The cops sent all the documents given by Jahan for forensic examination following which Shami and his brother were called to Lalbazar. An officer said that the interrogation was over for now and they would cross check the information and if required, call Hasin Jahan.
