Trinamool leaders Anubrata Mondol & Dev summoned by CBI in cattle smuggling case

They have been summoned on Feb 14 & 15.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned Trinamool Congress leaders Anubrata Mandal and Dev in the ongoing cattle smuggling case being probed by the Central investigating agency in West Bengal.

Mandal is the Trinamool Congress chief in Birbhum district and Dev is a party MP. Earlier, Mandal was summoned by the CBI in connection with the murder of a BJP worker which was part of alleged post-poll violence. However, Mandal moved the Calcutta High Court and got temporary relief, though the court has asked him to cooperate with the probe. However, the new case concerns cattle smuggling which the CBI is also probing in Bengal. He has been called to Kolkata’s CBI office at Nizam Palace on February 14.

Earlier, the CBI had called Dev in the cattle smuggling case. He has been asked to be present in the same office on February 15.
