3-day campaign by Abhishek Banerjee for Mamata Banerjee in Bhawanipore bypoll
Bypoll in Bhawanipore is scheduled on September 30.
Abhishek Banerjee – the national general secretary of Trinamool Congress – will campaign for party chief Mamata Banerjee for the coming Assembly bypoll in Bhawanipore. The campaigns have been scheduled on September 18, 25 and 26. Abhishek Banerjee is the Trinamool chief’s nephew and a resident of Bhawanipore, where byelection is scheduled on September 30.
He will first campaign at a meeting on September 18. Later, he is likely to also lead two more campaigns in two separate meetings on September 25 and 26. Abhishek Banerjee is also campaigning for the party in the other two bypolls of Jangipur and Shamsergunj of Murshidabad district – on September 23. All three bypolls are scheduled on the same day. All meetings will likely be small gatherings in view of the COVID-19 restrictions.
Campaign for the bypoll will end on September 28 at 7 pm. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Priyanka Tibrewal against Mamata Banerjee in Bhawanipore.
