Kolkata Police Commissioner Anuj Sharma has tested positive for COVID-19. He had some mild symptoms for the past few days, including mild fever, the reason he got himself tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday. The report for the test came on Thursday, and it was positive.
Sharma is on home quarantine, and doctors are keeping an eye on his health. He has mild symptoms, and is working from home. The CP had attended a programme on Tuesday at the state administrative headquarters, Nabanna, which was for the celebrations of Police Day. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee and senior officials of the state government were present at the programme.
Those who had come in contact with the CP for the past few days are being asked to get themselves tested.
