The Bengal Story Bureau: Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are reuniting on the big screen for director Priyadarshan’s upcoming action thriller, Haiwaan. The makers officially announced that the much-awaited film will hit theatres on September 11, 2026.
Release Date and Cast Details
Production banner KVN Productions confirmed the release timeline through a special social media poster. The announcement highlighted Priyadarshan’s track record as a master storyteller with 60 blockbusters to his credit. The film is a joint production venture between KVN Productions and Thespian Films, with Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai attached as producers.
According to the makers, Haiwaan will be an intense action thriller designed to keep audiences engaged from start to finish. The film also features actors Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher in crucial supporting roles, adding depth to the primary cast.

A Long-Awaited Bollywood Reunion
The film brings the popular Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan pairing back to theatres after a long gap. The two actors have previously delivered several major box office hits together, making their upcoming collaboration a major talking point in the industry.
This new project follows Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar’s recent work on Bhoot Bangla. That horror comedy brought together familiar faces from their 2007 hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa, including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani, alongside Tabu, Jisshu Sengupta and Wamiqa Gabbi.
With a strong ensemble and an established director at the helm, Haiwaan is positioning itself as a major theatrical event for 2026.
