The couple has been living apart for a year and is heading for a mutual divorce after nearly nine years of marriage.
The Viral Statement on Fatherhood
The renewed interest in their relationship stems from Akanksha’s recent appearance on the reality television show ‘Lock Upp: Sach Ya Saza’ Season 2, where she announced the split. Following her revelation, fans began circulating a video clip from Gaurav’s stint on a previous season of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’.
During a press interaction on the show, a journalist asked Gaurav if he had brought up Akanksha’s reluctance to have children merely to gain public sympathy. The actor grew emotional and firmly defended his wife’s choice. He stated that while he loves children deeply, his love for his wife takes priority. Gaurav added that a husband’s responsibility is not just to fulfill his own desires but to respect his life partner’s decisions.

According to the actress, a mutual separation emerged as the most practical choice for both individuals.
