The “very severe” cyclone Bulbul had made landfall on West Bengal on Saturday. Supriyo will visit many areas hit by the storm, including Bakkhali and Namkhana which were among the worst affected. There, he will talk to the relief providing teams and other representatives of the state government, thus trying to assess if any help is needed from the Centre. Babul Supriyo said that this is entirely an official visit and has no connection with politics.
