A day after dropping three ministers from the state cabinet, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday went for a reshuffling of departments among the state ministers. The environment department was taken away from Mayor Sovon Chatterjee and handed over to transport minister Suvendu Adhikari.
Subrata Mukherjee lost the public health engineering department to state labour minister Moloy Ghatak. Soumen Mahapatra was given the charge of the irrigation department from Rajib Banerjee. Mahapatra’s previous water resources investigation and development department went to Subrata Mukherjee.
