BJP MLA from West Bengal’s Bishnupur, Tushar Kanti Bhattacharya, joined the Trinamool Congress on Friday. Bhattacharya was earlier with the Trinamool Congress before he had joined the saffron party. He had won the Bishnupur seat in 2016 as a Congress candidate and joined the Trinamool Congress that same year. In 2019, he had joined the BJP after the Lok Sabha polls.
Bhattacharya on Friday said after re-joining the Trinamool, that he bore no grudge against the party. “I was upset about certain issues, but those have now been resolved,” he said.
Recently, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has said several times that those who have left the party for some reason, were welcome to join back.
