BJP president Amit Shah diagnosed with swine flu
BJP national president Amit Shah was admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS Hospital with swine flu on Wednesday.
Shah himself announced on Twitter that he has been diagnosed with the flu and sought prayers and blessings of the people.
According to reports, he had fever for the last two days and was admitted to the hospital after complaining of chest congestion and breathing issues.
Amit Shah was supposed to address the party’s rally on January 20 in West Bengal’s Malda district to start BJP’s election campaign in the state, a day after chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s mega rally in Kolkata.
The BJP has plans to organize a number of rallies in the state starting from the 20th. Shah’s presence in the Malda rally is now uncertain, though no official cancellation has been announced. It is possible that he might attend the rally if he is released from hospital in a day or two and doctors give a go-ahead.
