BJP’s manifesto to be released by Amit Shah on March 21

Focus areas include overhauling the education system & reservation for some backward groups.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will release its election manifesto on March 21. It will be released in the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Salt Lake, by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Party leaders indicated that some of the key areas of focus for the party for the coming elections in West Bengal includes filling up of vacancies for teachers in the state, paying pending dearness allowance for state government employees, focusing on the growth of industries, reservation for some backward groups in various parts of Bengal, implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, among other things.

West Bengal goes to the polls on March 27 in an eight-phase election that continues till April 29. Results are out on May 2.
