Delhi violence: AAP leader Tahir Hussain booked for officer’s murder, suspended from party

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Tahir Hussain was suspended from the party on Thursday evening after being charged with murder and arson in connection with the killing of an intelligence officer during Delhi violence.
The body of an intelligence officer was discovered from a drain of Jaffrabad in Delhi on Wednesday after he went missing on Tuesday. The officer, Ankit Sharma, worked as a security assistant in Intelligence Bureau (IB).
The late officer’s father Ravinder Sharma had claimed that his son was attacked by the supporters of Hussain. The officer was shot after being beaten to death and had his body thrown in the drain, his father had said.
The officer’s post mortem report which was out Thursday showed that he had suffered multiple stab injuries in his body. Hussain however has denied all allegations.
