The Supreme Court on Wednesday has said that the five activists arrested in connection with terror charges are to be kept under house arrest till the next hearing on September 6.
The five activists arrested by Pune police on Tuesday are Varavara Rao, Sudha Bharadwaj, Arun Fereira, Gautam Navlakha and Vernon Gonsalves.
The petitioners including historian Romila Thapar, wanted the arrests to be put on hold and sought an independent probe into the matter.
