Mumbai Police on Wednesday filed an FIR (First Information Report) against actor Alok Nath on allegations of rape by writer Vinta Nanda. The Oshiwara registered the FIR for rape on a complaint filed by Nanda.

Nath was initially accused of sexual harassment and rape by Nanda in an emotionally charged #Metoo post on Facebook. Later, actor Navneet Nishant confirmed Nanda’s allegations made in the Facebook narrative, in which she said she had ended years of harassment by slapping the actor (thought to be Alok Nath).
