Lieutenant General Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon, Corps Commander of Chinar Corps has stated today that anyone who picks up a gun in Kashmir will be ‘eliminated’.
Speaking to the media, the lieutenant general appealed to “all mothers in Kashmir” to request their sons to surrender. Adding that those who surrendered would be helped to ‘get back in the mainstream’, the army officer said that the government’s surrender policy would facilitate the process.
Speaking to the media at a joint meeting of the Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the state police, the lieutenant general stated the entire organisation of the Jaish-e Mohammed terrorist group would be dismantled in Kashmir.
Three terrorists of the militant outfit were killed in an encounter yesterday in Pulwama including Kamran – an alleged co-conspirator of the Pulwama terror attack which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel on February 14. He is believed to be a close associate of Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Masood Azhar based in Pakistan. Four soldiers and a police constable also lost their lives in yesterday’s Pulwama operation to capture the terrorists hiding in the region.
