Former President Pranab Mukherjee may attend RSS programme in Nagpur

Former President and senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee will give a valedictory speech to the final year cadres of Rashtriya  Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at its headquarter in Nagpur on June 7. RSS has stated this, but Mukherjee’s office is yet to issue a confirmation.

According to the RSS, almost 800 cadres below 45 years across India are pursuing their final year camp named as Sangha Shiksha Varga (SSV) and the passouts will work as RSS ‘pracharaks’.

Mukherjee has been a senior Congress leader for decades, has been a Union minister in the Congress government, finance minister in the UPA II. Under the backdrop, Mukherjee’s possible attendance in the RSS programme has raised many eyebrows.
