Amit Shah: Mamata Banerjee did nothing for Singur in 10 years
BJP has planned industrialisation & jobs for the state.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee did nothing for Singur in the ten years that she has been in power.
Shah is in Bengal today and is leading several roadshows and meetings throughout the day. Asked if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would bring the Tata Nano factory from Gujarat’s Sanand to Bengal’s Singur, Shah said: “This is a too narrow way to visualise things. Many things will be done here from various parts of the world. Only Nano is being discussed here unfortunately.”
Trinamool Congress’ face in Singur, MLA Rabindranath Bhattacharya is the BJP’s candidate from Singur this time. Bhattacharya joined the BJP after being denied ticket by the Trinamool Congress due to his age. Leading a roadshow for Bhattachrya from Singur, Shah said that BJP had plans for the state’s industrialisation and to create jobs for the jobless. “We have prepared a clear plan for industrialisation and jobs in our manifesto,” Shah said.
