COVID-19: 35,342 new cases, 14% less than Thursday’s count

India on Friday recorded 35,342 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, making the country’s total number rise to 3,12,93,062 since the pandemic broke out in January last year.

The number of new cases recorded on Friday was 14.59 per cent less than 41,383 infections recorded on Thursday. The death toll rose to 4,19,470 with 483 more deaths in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases dropped by 3,881 to 4,05,513. Altogether 3,04,68,079 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far.
