India reported 38,353 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, making the total number of cases in the country 3,20,36,511 since the pandemic broke out in January 2020. The number of daily cases increased to 36 per cent than it was on Tuesday (28,204 cases).

The death toll in the past 24 hours was 497, increasing to a total of 4,29,179 so far. There are currently 3,86,351 active cases of coronavirus. Altogether 3,12,20,981 people have recovered so far.
