“Didir Doot” app: over 1 lakh downloads, says Trinamool

“Didir Doot” (Didi’s messenger), a mobile phone application named after Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, had over 1 lakh downloads so far, the Trinamool Congress said on Friday. The app has shown great response within a few days of its launch, the party leaders said.

The app was launched by the party for direct communication with the West Bengal chief minister who is the Trinamool Congress party chief and is popularly called Didi, and the app “Didir Doot” means Didi’s messenger.

While the election dates for 2021 Assembly polls are yet to be announced, all political parties are already campaigning vigorously. Almost every party has chosen the digital platform as an effective tool.

Trinamool is offering the opportunity for people to listen to Mamata Banerjee through her messages and live videos, work with her to pass on her messages, and to be in touch with her. People can watch Banerjee’s live videos, reach out to her with their complaints, offer suggestions to the party and get to know her political work through this app.

The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store. People can register through the app with all their details. Recent events and latest news updates can also be found in this app. The app will also provide specific information about the new initiatives taken by the Chief Minister for the development of the state. Users can also report their problems directly to the chief minister.
