No rain for next two days in Kolkata, heat wave alert for south Bengal districts

Kolkata and the rest of south Bengal won’t get rainfall in the coming two days and will continue to suffer from heat and humidity.

In addition, there is a heat wave alert for Bankura, West Midnapore, Purulia, Jhargram, West Burdwan, Birbhum and Murshidabad.

The weather conditions may improve later in Sunday and thundershower activities are expected. However, as of now, there are no such indications, the Met office said. There may be formation of a high pressure zone over Bay of Bengal and thus rainfall may be possible early next week – on Tuesday or Wednesday – but not before that.
