Prime Minister learnt of Pulwama attack but continued shooting for film, alleges Congress

The Congress has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of continuing with his shooting schedule in Uttarakhand’s Corbett National Park even after learning of the Pulwama Terror strike which took the lives of over 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel last Thursday.

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala spoke to the media today stating that while the attack took place at 3:10 PM, the Prime Minister continued shooting till 6:40 PM.

Accusing Modi for having forgotten his ‘raj dharma’ or duty of governance, the Congress leader pointed out that no ‘other PM in the world’ would shoot a film when the country is in ‘mourning’. Accusing the Prime Minister of ‘watching gharials on his boat ride’ and ‘having samosa’ when the rest of the country did not eat, Surjewala added that the act was ‘despicable and shameful’. Local newspapers have contributed a minute-by-minute account of Narendra Modi’s visit to Corbett, said the Congress leader from where the details of the Prime Minister’s itinerary have emerged.
